Nicole and I met for a track workout today in the rain. I like running in the rain when t isn't too cold, so it was great running weather for me. I always like speed workouts when I have finished them, and I know they are important for my training, but it is impossible to do them alone. We did about a mile warm up and cool down with 6 X 400 at about an 800 m pace (at least my 800 m pace - Nicole may have been running faster) with an easy 400 for rest/recovery. I didnt have my watch but based on the distance Nicole was in front of me I think my 6th was about 6-8 seconds slower than my first. I'll have to decrease that time difference the next time we do this work out. My legs are already feeling the workout. On the way home I watched to people get hit by a car while crossing a cross walk. That shook me up quit a bit after a rather difficult day.
